Nose: A not so powerful attack than expected, especially after slight aeration. Very fruity, with a nice compote of plums, apricots with a touch of honey and vanilla. Also some grapes with a very light winey side probably due to PX casks. Some nice spices, even if we are far from the sherry bomb sold by some websites
A sweet nose, really, especially if you add a few drops of water, like a caress on your family jewels (well, ladies, if you do not have any family jewels, try to imagine).
Mouth: More powerful in the mouth than with the nose and spices are more present (well, not like a kick in the family jewels either). For now, I would say that it is the Oloroso cask that expresses itself the most. We are rather on pepper and ginger with its pungent side in the mouth. The apricots and plums make their return just after this, as I like it, spicy and fruity.
Finale: Loooong, very long, and always the same with this fruity / spicy perfect balance.
Note: 89/100 (the quality / price ratio could also play in the note there, really nice, I hesitated to give a better note like 90/100)
This Glendronach Cask Strenght Batch 4 becomes hard to find, especially at its original price of about 65 to 70 €. But it remains really interesting under 100€.
